Kutztown Rugby

After one month of tryouts and numerous training sessions, the Golden Bear 7’s squad was selected to compete in the 2011 Las Vegas Invitational 7’s Tournament.  The competition within the Kutztown camp was fierce and some excellent rugby players were left with another year to prepare. The training was extremely demanding, with daily runs and double/triple sessions every weekend. Coaches, Paul Presinzano and Jeff Reiss had numerous discussions on selection as the departure date approached.

The final selection squad is equipped with outstanding speed and above average size in the forwards. The squad will travel with twelve players and one alternate. The LVI Tournament will be a tremendous challenge to all teams involved, including Kutztown University. That said,the Golden Bears are ready and willing to compete with the nation’s best.
